Reply:The republic of India is supposed to be ruled by the people of India . The laws are supposed to be made by themselves and the they are supposed to be made for them . it is all a fraud . the contitution itself is based on a lie . A few people constituting thje constituent assembly made the constitution and they declared the constitution to have been masde by the people ,and for the people whereas the people wer unaware of what was thr and had nothing to say about it . The constitution should have been published for the scrutiny and suggestionof the people and should have been dfinalized on the basis of thier (majority ) views and should have been subjected to the voting of th epeople . This was not done and the few people who made it finalised iot and subjected to the approval of the constituent assembly which was not elected by the people directly.


The constitution base d on false hood has got all the defects . The set up is not conducive to make the parliament the supreme body. Now the supreme court is the competent to interpret the constitution and not the parliament . In a republic the parliament should be the supreme body . But such a conditon in the case of the present set up would be detrimental to the counrty as politics has very nmuch degenerted and destroyed the value of the parliament . Fortunately the superme court is independent and is safeguarding the country form the political parties now .

Reply:The phrase "of the people, by the people, for the people" was originally said by Abraham Lincoln in Ghettysburg, Pennsylvania on November 19th, 1863 in a speech called "The Ghettysburg Address" The speech in it's whole is on the site I provided for my source. However, the part with the quote you gave is found in the last paragraph and it goes as follows

The reason, I believe, that politicians use this quote so much in their own speeches is to allude themselves to President Lincoln. This was the president that let he slaves free. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest presidents in American history. So, if they look like Lincoln, they look good.
