Spanish people are white right?

Spanish people are white right?but why do people not consider them white in my life ive seen many spanish people from (SPAIN)and they look european white ive seen some with blonde hair blue eyes brunette all kinds so why do american not consider them white are they just too ignorant and whats latino got to do with this topic they are just mixed spanish and aztec.since all western american countries think if u speak spanish or your from south america they will think ur spanish.. but they are not spanish..only (SOME OF THEM ARE MIXED SPANISH WITH SOME AZTEC OR MAYAN ANCESTERY)why are people so ignorant i am from spain my self and i once went to america and a guy asked me where i am from and i said spain and he was like stop lieing spanish people have brown skin and they look like mexicans..i was angry how ignorant people can be and the lack of easy knowledge for them to understand.

Spaniards are indeed white. Only idiots would deny that they are European and Caucasian.


I've never seen a Spaniard who looks like the stereotypical Mexican that the American media shows. I pity the people who are so ignorant to think that all Spanish speakers look the same. Even in South America there are many people with only European heritage.


I am also Spanish and I many of my relatives have light eyes, blonde hair and pale skin. I myself always get asked 'how come you can't tan, you're Spanish?' because apparently we are all very dark. It doesn't help when people say they are 'Spanish' but they actually are Latin American. Or how Antonio Banderas is shown as the typical Spaniard.

Of course Spaniards are white, as are the Portuguese, Sicilians, Greeks, Armenians, Lebanese, etc. Never, in my nearly sixty years, have I ever heard anyone refer to Italians as not being white until I joined YA. Report It

If one wanted to be technical, Caucasians are actually people from the Caucasus regions, which include countries like Georgia, Chechnya, and parts of Russia. But when most people use "Caucasian" and "White", they are referring to people descended predominantly from England and Germany, perhaps Northern Europe, to be more broad. That's why people from the United States don't necessarily consider Italians "White" or "Caucasian", or any other ethnic group from the Mediterranean.

Reply:Honest answer is Americans are ignorant. Spanish people are Caucasian. The only reason they would have any kind of mixed blood in them would be from the Moorish invasion which lasted until 1492. Some Moors stayed behind and converted but they were technically still North African.
Reply:look americans are dumb they say italians arent white but they are. they think that just because the skin isnt white the person then isnt white but thats not right. my dad has kinda red skin, black hair and brown eyes but hes 100% lithuanian. and i was born with blonde hair and blue eyes. if you go to europe since i was born and raised in europe europeans arent like that europeans know that they are white. did you know that in europe there isnt any middle east or native american races theres just black, white, and asian. thats what they taught in my school anyway.

look at latin americans, many of them are of german, english, even white american descent





I know of mexicans who are white too and descend from europeans like the french or dutch menonites





do u see them making a huge deal that people think every one in latin america are indians? NO

have u ever been to latin america? they have tons of people of german, japanese, lebanese, african, italian, UNMIXED SPAIN, and so origins.





SPAIN IS NOT THE EPICENTER OF THE WORLD AND MANY PEOPLE DONT KNOW ABOUT IT, SO POP THE BUBBLE.





YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY NATIONALITIES THAT GETS TO DEAL WITH STEREOTYPES ALL OTHER COUNTRIES TOO.

I've been to latin america and I've seen people whiter than people from spain, I've also seen many latin americans who are black, chinese, german and much more origins

actually, historically....


northern spain was taken over by celtiberians.


as in celtics (like ireland?) so they look more european.


but in southern spain they have moorish descent (muslim, african, etc.)


so in different parts they have different skin tones.


and most of the spanish people in the west came from southern spain.


so, yeah.

Reply:Yes I believe that Spanish people are White people. But some of them have slightly darker skin because obviously Spain is a hot country.
Reply:Where was this guy from? I think people associate white as being caucasian, not necessarily light skin color. Middleeasterner are technically white (even though they have darker skin color) but, they are caucasian. Scientists have separated humans into different categories by certain features of the skull shape. Look it up - you'll find answers there.





You got ONE guy who didn't know something. Americans aren't that ignorant - some of us are actually from Mexico, Europe, Africa, China, Japan, etc, oh and even Spain!





Don't judge the whole country based on one idiot!
