Do people in general like or dislike quiet people?

I consider myself to be quiet and I don't talk much but I'm always nice to people. Do you think people like or dislike people like that? Sometimes I worry that people when you don't talk people don't think you're not interested in what they have to say but I just would rather just listen most of the time..

Regardless of whether you are quiet, or the overfriendly social type, there are always going to be people who are going to dislike you for some reason.So just forget about it.
Reply:Unfortunately sometimes people will not let you forget that you are quiet or meek. So you just have to learn to be proud of your personality the way it is and do not change because other people talk to much and are intrusive. Report It

Reply:quiet people are an unknown, and we tend to fear the unknown. so I would say it is more fear of than dislike, to dislike I would need a real good reason, and quiet would not be one. I have always found that a quiet person is an excellent conversationalist, as all they do is say a word or to to keep the conversation, and it makes us yackers look good,

but i dont really like quiet people me %26amp; my friends try to get this 1 guy to talk but he only talks to about 4 people ( me included )


but we try to get him to say more but hes nice

Reply:Everyone is different so is there choice. But in general, I think people see them either as idiot or as an extremely intelligent!!!
Reply:It depends on the person. I like quiet people, but I get frustrated when I'm the one stuck trying to initiate conversation. I'm not good at making small talk, so I dislike the awkward moments with really quiet people. I think some people think that quiet people are snotty, when in reality, they're just waiting for the right time to say the right thing. :)
Reply:im quiet but in reality i talk to ppl that i have things in common with so some ppl dont like me cause i dont talk to them but later they see me talking to someone else i think they just get mad when someone soesn't speak to them

Reply:i don't think people hate quiet people. why would you need to hate them. i anyone hate another person because their quiet then they must have some kind of problem wrong with them. people have a choice to be who they want to be.
Reply:I think most people do not like quiet people. They usually think we are stuck up and snotty.
