Why do people eat "food" that who knows what it has in it?

What happened to actually cooking something? Why do people just buy a can or a box of stuff and call that "home cooked" It's NOT homecooked, it's cooked in a factory, then they put chemicals in it, and sell it to people! People just don't get that it's not healthy! It's not REAL FOOD. Get a cookbook and actually COOK something. Don't just grab a box and make some gross stuff that you call food. I can see why people in "America" are so unhealthy and overweight. The average "American" doesn't know how to actually cook!

You're wasting money just buying something frozen or in a box or in a jar or whatever you get your "food" from. You're better off wasting some time looking for a cookbook and cooking something, rather than heating something up.

Taste doesn't matter either. You get used to bad tastes too.

So, why don't people look at the ingredients?

Why don't people know what they're eating?

Why don't people just waste some time cooking something?!

Why do people eat "food" that who knows what it has in it?
I agree 4,000,000%. This retarded american awe with boxed stuff is gross. The best food: rice, beans, meat and salad...not chicken nuggets in frozen packages, Americans are too stupid and lazy to cook real food and feed their kids healthy home-made food that boosts their immune system.

that's why american kids get so sick all the time, these unreal foods do nothing for their immune system. a good true hearty, homemade meal is best!!! thank god that you have common sense. Ever since i was a baby [im 13 now] my mom put steak, garlic, rice, beans in the blender and fed me that and real breast milk from her, not powder milk. I ate real food, therefore have a real immune system and real helathy body, not fragile and fat and sickly like american kids. thank god someone has true sense in their noggin...god bless you!
Reply:Some folks just don't have the time to make every meal from scratch (including me). Between a full time job, a part time job, full college class caseload (including mountains of homework), house-work, and enjoying time with my husband, I just can't seem to find the time to. If you can, more power to ya!
Reply:I enjoyed your book...
Reply:Most American people=morbidly obese
Reply:Many people are just naive to listen to reason and realize how bad the food is getting and don't bother to do research on those unbelievable ingredients.

I totally agree with everything you said above!

Homecooking rocks!
Reply:I cook homeade all the time. That means actual ingrediants, like veggies and real meat or fish. I told my daughter , when she was growing up, that boxed and processed foods was a government conspiracy to get rid of toxic waste. That processed food was the cheapest and easiest way to do it.

I went to a restaraunt the other day and they had meatballs on the buffet. I tasted one at my table and had to spit it out. The damn thing tasted like a fart. I am sure that they were frozen but geeez, couldn't they have gotten a better product?
Reply:Please cite your source on pregnant women and carbonated drinks. I don't think you know what you're talking about. And you're awfully stressed out and upset for a 12-year old. Take it easy! You have your whole adult life to be pissed off and haggard. Enjoy your youth!
Reply:with both people working in todays family who is going to the cooking? if one of the couple stays home they are put down for it. told how lazy they are and they need to get a life. so now everyone works does that help
