Why do people answer other people's question in a rude manner?

Are people really so bored that they have nothing better to do than make other people feel bad? This sight is for people to be able to ask questions and get honest feed back. Why do people join this sight just to hurt other people? If you're not going to give an honest answer to an honest question then why bother? And if you're not on this sight to ask for legitimate advice then why are you here in the first place? I asked a question earlier, and this has happened to me on more than once occasion, and someone had to make some rude comment and I know it shouldn't bother me but it does. And I've seen other people get rude answers to their questions before too and I feel bad for them. So I guess I'm wondering what the heck someone is even doing joining this sight if they don't actually want REAL help with something or genuinely want to help someone else?

Why do people answer other people's question in a rude manner?
I HATE that.
Reply:Hmmm... lots of answers to so many questions...

Yeah, some are bored. Some are downright or plain rude. Some think their answers are funny, without considering how it will affect the asker. Some don't really ask serious questions, too. Some people are here just for fun, unfortunately, some cannot "ride" on the jokes cause maybe, theyre not in a "game" mood. And also, you cannot question other people's motives. Since you are here, just expect that some or most people even will not always be at the same "wavelength" as you are. So, it's actually a case to case basis. And who are we to question what's going on on other people's mind. I think you can see out right which answers are serious, and which aren't. Just have fun.
Reply:Kids will be kids and some just act dumb for their own gratification. What do you expect out of thousands of people. How they are here is probably how they are in real life so don't worry about them and ignore them.
Reply:People do get enjoyment out of it...Like watching comedies where people hurt themselves.
Reply:When you ask one question to a million people, you had better be ready for anything. Maybe you should not ask questions here if you're so sensitive.
Reply:The Warm and Fuzzy Answer Brigade supports nearly every stupid question asked by anyone. If you want honest answers, then lots of people are going to be offended. If they are that thin-skinned, then this is the wrong site for them if they simply can't ignore the answers they don't like.

More often than not the rude answers ARE the honest answers. Some of these dolts need a verbal slap in the face to realize that the world doesn't revolve around themselves.
Reply:Everyone is here for a different reason. Your in the etiquette section so I 'spose you could expect a reasonable amount of respect, BUT, this isn't a serious forum; do you really think everyone here is here to legitimately answer serious questions?
Reply:either the truth hurts, they are stating a fact, they are having a bad day, want to cut another down a peg, or don't understand how the asker doesn't know the answer to a simple question.

it happens, it sucks, but don't dwell.
Reply:You can't fix the world, you will always hear about the "smart" people with their "smart" answers, whatever, pick what sounds good to you and be happy that your not one of "them" :)
Reply:actually, most of the time i do not answer rudely. like now, i cant stand rudeness, you need to know how people will feel like when you are rude. u need to care 4 pple! plus, can i hav my answer chosen as the best plz?
Reply:maybe because you are fat, ugly and your questions are stupid. I don't see another reason. Anyway cheer up, fortunately there are many nice honest guys like me.
Reply:WAH BOO HOO! This question answer stuff is all lies anyways, if you want real world SH IT get off the stupid computer and live in the real world cause the computer ain't the real world. Guess that's the kind of answers you're talkin bout Right?!
Reply:yes..and...stupid questions deserve rude answers...ye reap what ye sow....
