Why do People Hate?

I just don't get it. It seems like half the people in this country (America) just can't get over the idea that people are different. Everyone is so rightously bothered by **** that's not even their business. Gay people haven't hurt anyone, meanwhile quite a few straight folks have brought suffering uopn so many people. What's so bad about it? Yeah, maybe you find it gross, but why don't you haters try talking TO a gay person, and making friends with them. We're people, we deal with the same crap day after day, but we've faced up to the facts of our own minds or bodies, or whatever it is that makes us feel the way we feel about our lovers.





And even that's no different from what straight people do. C'mon, you haters, it's just people loving people! What's so bad about that?

Why do People Hate?
In times of social upheaval and instability, hatred for those who are different increases as society tries to strengthen itself. People are afraid, so they regress to values of the past to find security. Like the rise of anti-Semitism in Germany after their humiliating defeat in World War I and the subsequent economic problems. Unity through having a common enemy. America is a more diverse society, so instead of picking one enemy, they've picked many: the GLBT community, immigrants, religious minorities, liberals, and women.





Society is managing its fear through hate right now. I wish I could say it would stop, but until society returns to the pre-9/11 status quo, if it ever does, I don't see that happening.

I wish people would understand that hating is a waste of time, and energy. Theirs and mine.





Make Love... Not War!!!! Appreciate the differences!!!! Screw the rest... I mean f the rest... I mean really, if you f them enough maybe they would start loving you. Then you can dump them and feel good about it.





Do you know anything that is better than sex?
Reply:The reason why most homobias are bashers towards homosexuals is because they are insecure with their own sexuality and are blinded by ignorance that has been taught to them possible by their parents, a little bit society and possibley by an even more ignorant person; someone from their religious denomination, using religion as an excuse to bash homosexuals.


ON personal note, I find NO problem with homosexuals, crossdressers, transgender ect.. To me they are all people, who deserve respect and should be treated in the same manner as I would like to be treated.





That's my opinion, I could be wrong but, that what it seems to me when I view it through my eyes.

Reply:It ranks right up there with the "others"--people who abuse the "abuse" system. They are insecure,jealous,vindictive,and ignorant! I will not,cannot,judge you! Reply:you are so right,i comend you for speaking up and standing up for your rights.i believe people hate from fear and ignorance.it has to be taught .the same goes for racisim.people are taught that way by their parents,no one is born to hate.we must stop the cycle ans start educating people.all gay,lesbian,transgendered people are members of society and have the same rights as straight people.in my personal experience i know many loving gay people who are wonderful,like these 2 guys i know who are in a commited relationship and take in foster kids from broken homes,they have adopt and raised 2 wonderful sons as there own,they have even helped me with my kids from time to time.as a bisexual female i am proud and just stay away from ignorant people and haters.if they cant accept me and have negative ideas about gaysim better off not being their friends.so props to you and continue to be you and just ignore the haters.
Reply:People in America today are stuck in the 1930's they are not open minded at all they think that only opposite sexes should attract. In today's society that is not correct, i am a firm believer that you can not help who you fall in love with. I live in a very small town of 1180 people, in which most of the population here is old retirees. I am bi and at first it was a shock but now everybody realizes that i am just a average normal human just like them. It is not excepted anywhere in my state until they made that movie Broke Back Mountain and now the cowboys are really mad. Forget them and anybody else, you are who you are nobody can change that and if people don't like p*ss on them.

Reply:i agree. ppl shouldnt hate. but the majority reason is because they are either afraid or "just dont like" the new changes in life. live with it ppl, be happy ur all at least inhabiting the same dimension.
