a vast amount of gay people still feel asif hetrosexual society treats gay people different despite larges changes within the law when questioned most straight people are against gay civil marriage and gay addoption laws and some are even against gays altogether the questions are how would these people feel if the tables turned and how would they react, some hetrosexuals think gays don`t have a right to express their views and treat them like a nobody isn`t it time society got used to the fact people are just people and all have rights and why can`t the bigots pick on the true criminals such as the drug pushers and terrorists and those who abuse kid and women instead and leave gay people alone.

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking: why there is bigotry against homosexuals by heterosexuals? My guess is because people fear things that are different from themselves, and have a hard time tolerating them, too. What may seem worse about bigotry towards gays is that many people claim that their religion/church/"the bible" says it's wrong. And they follow that gospel, many times without questioning it. I do not follow that at all, I think one's sexuality is NOT a choice, and there should be gay marriage, or legal unions at the very least. But the religion thing is in the way for many people. It's better than it used to be, before the civil rights movement, but I don't know if it will be fully erased.
Reply:I agree, but you can't change a lot of people. Ignorance, fear and a total unwillingness to understand others fuels the hatred you feel. Unfortunately abolishing that will take a lot of time and effort.





People seem to understand thieves, pedophiles and sex offenders, but for some reason they can't understand.
