Are poor people usually uglier than wealthy people?

It's true! I live in the Boston area. In the wealthy parts of Boston, you see an extremely high concentration of attractive people, and there are markedly more unattractive people in the poorer areas.

It's also true if you go out to the suburbs--the wealthy ones tend to hold more good-looking people, while the poorer ones tend to have more people who are obese, or have outdated hairdos, or bad teeth, etc.

But this theory also applies further--when I drive up to Maine, about 3 hours away... well, on the wealthier coast, people tend to be more attractive than the people of inland Maine, where it is rare to see an attractive person.

I'm sure this questioned will be condemned, but that's okay... I know that most of you will agree with me in private. It's so true. I mean, think about it! Take a drive to a wealthy town/city, take note at the concentration of attractive people, and then take a drive to a poor city or the impoverished countryside---you'll see, it IS true!

Are poor people usually uglier than wealthy people?
Of course they are. Attractive people either have their good looks passed down to them, or they keep themselves up and improve their appearance through the money they have. Those with natural good looks come from parents that are attractive, and most attractive people are more easily accepted into jobs, are more outgoing, and typically more succesful.
Reply:If you take away all the makeup, hair extensions, perms, coloring, fake eyelashes, manicures, ect. The wealthy would look just like the rest of us. And in some cases, their money still doesn't make them attractive. Take a look at Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Michael Jackson, Carrot Top, Joan Rivers, Phyliss Diller,Joan Crawford, Courtney Cox. Just to name a few.
Reply:Your're right to the fact of being dressed, clean etc.. -who know what a poor bum would look like all cleaned up, however-$$$ involved-hasn't helped Michale Jackson out-he get's worse with each surgery.
Reply:Well.if you look at the beautiful poor people in India and the ugly rich in America you'll find your answer is no.

True beauty is genetic, not how big your bank balance is.
Reply:Everyone has a potential to be physically "attractive", but wealthier people have the means to take care of themselves a great deal. They also have an added pressure to be attractive from their environment, where looks count a great deal. In the less privileged areas, people are not too concerned with looks but with making ends meet. Beauty however, is in the eye of the beholder.
Reply:i would say they look better because they have the money to. example, the rich lady and afford to have her hair and nails done.

can afford to shop at macy's, while the poor lady has to shop at target and buy what's on sale. that might not fit her the way it should, but it was on the clearance rack so she is going to deal with it. anything can be done with enough money.
Reply:of course they are uglier, they cant afford botox
Reply:only the natives
Reply:that's because the can afford to be "fake", they get all this cosmetic surgery to look more attractive!! Insane if you ask me, be happy with the way God created you!! Thats just my opinion and I am entitled to it, condem me if you want to.
Reply:A person who has leaky boils on their face and hands, dresses poorly and emits a foul odor is generally not going to do very well in the marketplace so YES.. I think your theory holds up quite well.
Reply:Money helps looks but not always look at Donald Trump...yuck or Bill Gates he's not very attractive either.
