Should gay people be racist because most black people seem to be homophobic?

Gay people on the whole are less likely to be racist because they know how prejudice feels. Black people, on the other hand, are much more likely to be bigoted towards homosexuality.





On this site, gay people often rush to the defense of black people but black people seem to be some of the most bigoted around.





Asian people and Muslims are regularly attacked here too but nobody cares, although any attacks against black people meet with a great uproar. Ironic?

I am not homophobic, I do not entirely agree with the lifestyle, but that does not mean that I hate gays or fear them. You must understand that most of black america was born and raised in the baptist church. Our religion is our foundation. The baptist church preaches against homosexuality. So it is programmed into us.
Reply:As a person who is black and gay, I disagree with your claim that gay people are less racist than blacks are homophobic. I've met plenty of racist white gays. You seem like one. Who else would argue for more bias in response to bias?





There are homophobes of all colors both on this site and in this country and the drivers of most anti gay movements in this country have always been overwhelmingly white Christians. But you aren't suggesting hatred against them. How many blacks are leading the charge to stop gays from marrying? How many blacks have you seem shouting slurs at gay marches? I've never seen even one.





What you're really saying is that SOME blacks are homophobic and who do ANY of these people think they are to dare be biased against you. Only a bigot would make such an argument.
