would you be willing to donate $10.00 to people that recently lost their job or got an illness that prevents them to work at this time or should they get rid of their best friend, silly question but people help people what about people helping pets. I donate my time doing rescues during disasters and people in my area seek help they need to provide care for their pet but one small town doesnt help the world. its a silly question but people are greedy are you one of them people. I'm not trying to make people mad but to take a stand to help others
How many people out there will be willing to help others to pay vet bills?
I agree!! My husband recently lost his job - right after I adopted a dog from the pound. Well, I took him to the vet and I was just going to make it work. Well, one of my friends went to the vet and paid the entire $160 bill. This payed for the neuter, shots, ect.
She was such a sweet heart for helping us out.
Reply:my family helps out our neighbors all the time
Reply:I would if I thought the case warrented it and that it would keep them together but some people unfortunately are just sponges and we as a family don't bust our butts because people refuse to help themselves and in turn their kids and pets.
I don't think people are greedy when it comes to a real sense of need. You use the example of someone losing their job - if I lost my job and it meant I couldn't feed my dog, kids, whatever, I'd swallow my pride and go to Taco Bell, Sonic, whatever to get some money together to make sure they were fed and cared for.
If it was an elderly person and that animal was their only companion, then yes I'd help but not somebody that is able bodied, that's not helping, that's enabling.
Reply:Sounds to me like you are not asking a question, but trying to make people change their minds.
There are many people who are altruistic enough that they donate their time %26amp; effort to help animals in shelters, on the streets and through organizations.
The main problem is that many people have to take care of themselves first. They feel that their own needs must be met first, and in many cases, they are right! If everyone had enough food, decent clothing, a place to sleep... etc. then more pets would be taken care of. The main point is to get those who can do so, to do so. Try targeting those with the ability and resources to help pets, to do so. This might bring better results.
(And I have a relative that donates to the local aquaria to help preserve Moray eels.... yuck!)
Reply:things I have seen with people "needing help" with vet bills
fancy fingernails, obviously fresh professionally done hair, %26amp; other attributes that don't come free.
often when holding conversations with them they will tell you about the vacation they just had or are going on next week, tickets they just bought for some concert %26amp; on %26amp; on.
yes, unexpected things can happen, however it has been my extensive experience that most of them just make the pet a very low priority
Reply:If I was able to help I most definitely would. I believe we are all here to help each other, and that includes pets and other animals.
Reply:Absolutely. Bad things often happen to good people. We all need help once in a while. Animals need help too....whether sick or not. It is so important that we ALL help each other! Thanks for posting!
Reply:i would help any family help a Family member (the pets) because A dog or cat or even a hamster is part of our own family. thoughSome people are mean enough and saying well you shouldnt even have pets if you cant treat them right. well Poo on them! ive had 2 hamsters! went into 150 hamsters! I have hamsters that teeth were to long for them i went to the vet and My dad friend help me out and payed the bill. i had hamsters that had tumors and everything! but life goes on some people are nice and care for animals well being. others dont and think that the world must be only Humans Im sorry to say but If there wasnt Animals there wouldnt have been the first human.
