Why do black people keep other black people down?An why do we get sucked into what white people want us to do?

I'm black but don't understand why do we not realize that things like rap music, BET, even some R%26amp;B music makes white people rich and makes us poorer and even more subjugated. And then some black people say your "not black" if you don't go along with that stuff. Things like Bill Clinton is black because he cheated on his wife and smoked weed, black people think that is funny? Thats f*ckin horrible. White people are not laughing with us, they laugh at us. Young girls all day listening to R%26amp;B music that tells them to have sex sex sex and we wonder why 14 and 15 year old black girls are pregnant. And why our AIDS rates are on the rise. All the time its making white people rich. People would buy clothes rather than pay bills, and we think thats some funny cultural thing. Yeah white people think its hilarious. They dont even hafta to keep us down anymore, we do it to ourselves. Have you ever seen a crack head? Selling crack is not a good thing, not a cool thing. We need to wakeup

Why do black people keep other black people down?An why do we get sucked into what white people want us to do?
In this life, I have to do TWO things.

Get paid, and stay black.
Reply:Not all Black people are like this, but many are. The reason for this is either ignorance or just not wanting to be responsible citizens. And yes, BET, rap music and crack are all ways that the White man can profit off of igorant Black peopl, but don't tell them that! Report It

Reply:It's your culture. Report It

Reply:the opportunity is out there for everyone, the problem is that opportunity is spelled WORK
Reply:You are so right. I was watching television this morning, and was listening to a guy on tv- in front of all of america say " yah mean." You know what im sayin" and so on and so forth. I dont get it myself. I have come up with some sort of understanding though. I think the plight of Black people in this coutnry is the fact that we feel like we have to prove to the world that we dont need them. We have to say to the "white" man that we can get our own money- we dont have to go to school; we dont have to get a job. We can do everything on our own. And the only means of doing this is by selling crack, and making sexist videos. I also think that we dont WANT to know what real life is about. We are afraid of challenging ourselves(I say we because I am black also, and until the problems are corrected- I am still apart of them-even though I am 22, hold two degrees, have traveled to six countries including kenya where I volunteered for three months, and have decided to devote my life to making sure that Black children get at least one good teacher)Nelson Mandela says "Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,

but that we are powerful beyond measure." and this is a living testimony of many Black People. We would not know what to do with power, real money, etc. That is why Jay Z owns a million cars, and Russel Simmons has a real gold sink. Now had all the rappers and perfomers put a little money in a African American progression bank, and let it grow, then that would make a substantial amount of money to make a scholarship fund for many African American children. No- instead they want to have modeling camps, and how to be a hustler shows- to teach the easy way in life. I dont know if this answers your question, but it feels good to vent. And yes, we need to wake up.
Reply:Yeah, I'm white. Could you lend me some money?
Reply:I agree.
Reply:Thats very true, but do say that in a church meeting, church must help people by organising jobs, schools, etc and get them spiritulaity class's that have some commonsense meaning. Do that brother
Reply:All true.
Reply:Well I guess that's a great weight off your chest isn't it?

The preconceived so called differences between white and black are very slowly dying out. I have black friends we laugh together, we laugh at each other and we laugh at other people, nothing to do with skin colour!

Some of my black friends are loaded, they have more cash than I have, (they don't deal drugs) they work for whatever they have. Some don't have as much cash as I do, it's not important is it? We get along , and sometimes we don't get along, but that has nothing to do with skin colour.

You have a chip on your shoulder,or you have just had a couple of bad days, but the more you think along the way you are now thinking the worse it will get!

Snap out of it !!
Reply:There's nothing we can do the change the ways of the black people. It's up to them as a whole to realize what they're doing to their lives and how it'll affect everyone else.
Reply:Youve convinced me,

Im white and I think you owe me some money now. Look, these bills aint payin for themselves...GET BACK IN THAT SWEATSHOP!!
Reply:We don't want to wake up. Some of us would rather dream.
Reply:Shut the f*ck up
Reply:I am white, but feel you are stereotyping black people and white people as well. Why would you think that all black people do these things and why would you feel all whites are laughing? In my opinion, you should worry about yourself and quit judging everyone else. Are we not all human, do we not all have problems?
Reply:You thinking about your self and your race well then think about millions of immigrants and illegal people that doing shite job just to buy a bread, salt and water. You don't know **** about life. So plz keep your head low and enjoy
Reply:Because black people look at themselves as black people rather than just people. Just because you're black doesn't mean you have to identify with all black people.
Reply:I agree 100%, when will we learn.
