White people,Black people?

I read a question on here asking if people dislike being called black or if they dislike that word saying that african americans are not black.





Many responses stated that white people aren't actually white.Some say that they shouldn't be called white is african americans shouldn't be called black.





I just want to know if the white people that use these responses even know who decided to call white people white.It sometimes seems as if they think that african americans have some hand in naming white people white.





The term white for europeans popped up in the 1600's by europeans.They wanted to call themselves white and be known as the white race.This was to make themselves better than the (black)africans that they wanted to believe were not humans but animals.If you have a problem with being referred to as white don't get mad at african americans,be mad at your own people for deciding to call themselves that.

I don't even think they know their own history.

Reply:what the hell , ohhh yawn ! isnt it 2008? i thought that even tho sum of are are still ignorant , most of us should have some sense and the wherewithall to understand that the color lines and names for the crayola shades which EVERYBODY on the planet skin comes in has no bearing on who we are . Reply:I worked with a black guy that once said thatblack people do not like being called colored people, because they are not colored, they are black.......................Make sense to me

Reply:well it all comes down to this, black people feel white people owe them somthing so thy pick at the smallest things, I am yet to meet a black person who isnt the stereotype. Black people call white people 'white devil' well duh thats because we rule, and black people were stuck putting a rock on a stick! I hate that in a white country i have to pay for everyone else who are lazy, law breaking *****, I hope white people over throw africa, then it will be fixed. Are they that thick they dont realise HIV is spread through sex, the mingers cant keep their legs shut!
