I have read alot of these A/Q stupid questions first of all black people aren't the only people with attitudes. I know for a fact that there are still some white people who look at black people funny and want evan talk to them because of there skin you can't tell me thats not rude. just because they wear weave doesn't mean there trying to be white, white people aren't the only ones with good hair. I think they have the right to wear and weave what ever they want with out being judged. along time black have been told there not cute there skin color is ugly etc but we have alot of white people getting tans to darken there skin some white people are wearing braids evan adding weave/ hair clips to there head and thats there choice there not judged for it and they shouldn't be just like blacks shouldn't be judged. I'm mixed with black and mexican I have a brown shade I'm proud because I'm proud and choose to show/flaunt it that shouldn't bother you open your mind stop being ignorant.

OOH I LUVVVV THIS QUESTION!!! We Blacks are frowned upon and discriminated against because for so long we were held captive as slaves,maids,and sexual beings. So why shouldn't we have an attitude or stick our noses up. On the other hand Harriett Tubman rescued us as well as people like George Washington Carver,Martin Luther King,and the list goes on of my many forefathers and mothers that said let me show the abusers that us Blacks can accomplish,invent,and rise to another level of high dreams,wants,desires,and hopes. When it was done,we still hadn't won because "they" still claimed our priveledged accomplishment was there's at first. Why do people hate me?
I'm not popular, I'm not loud, and I'm not full of myself, I swear. I'm that really quite girl that sits in the corner and reads a book. I hardly ever talk to people I usually choose two people in each of my classes and , if they seem to like me and are nice, they are the ones I talk to and no one else unless it's absolutely nesecarry. I try to be nice to people who do talk to me I'm not rude to them I'm not friendly though I'm usually pretty short with them giving them simple yes or no answers and rarely offering any more than what they've asked. I tend to live in my own world I'm unaware of other people and their feelings but I don't see why people concern themselves with that as I don't concern myself with them. People I don't even know who are friends of friends have openly told me they dislike me ,mainly girl friends of one of my guy friends, people I thought were my friends don't like me and in fact can't stand me! I was so surprised because they talked to me first. I'm confused!

Why are people saying Obama hates/racist towards white people?
I always read on message boards and blogs and other crap where people always say Obama hates white people yet what i dont understand is if he hates white people wouldnt he hate HIMSELF, his mom, his grandma since he is 1/2 white himself.
I find it funny, if he is pro white people say he will hates blacks if he is pro black people say he hates white, if he is in the middle people say he hates both.

I don't see the resemblence at all. Monkeys can't have curly hair. Their hair is always straight. Black people can only have curly hair. Monkeys have those aposable feet or whatever. Black people don't. Monkeys either have a greyish face or a peachish face. Black people are brown. The only thing I can think of that black people and monkeys have in common is they are both from africa. But monkeys are from other places too. And giraffes can only be found in africa so why aren't black people called giraffes? I don't get it. Why do people call black people monkeys?

Why do people think its safe to meet people in a nightclub than off the net?
Why do people, often parents, accept that it's safe to go out to a night club or pub full of drunks, drug addicts and anybody who walks in off the street? They also don't mind if their kids then walk home alone at 3am or get into any car outside the club and all that is seen as being ok and safe.
Compare that to meeting someone you've spoken to for months in a busy shopping centre in the middle of the day where everyone is sober and there're plenty of people around. Explain to me how that is more dangerous!?! I'm just curious as to why some people have this total dread and fear of the net and assume everyone online is dodgy. Don't these people understand that they themselves are online and that people on the net are the same people you meet out and about?

I mind very much about how my daughters will get home and they are sensible enough to ensure they always have the cab fare home, and use reputable, established cab companies. Society determines what is considered "beautiful". Millions people want to look like the fake images in magazines and on TV, but very few (if any) ever reach that regardless of how many boob jobs, nose jobs, botox injections they may get. If so many people are wanting to look a certain youthful, beautiful way, then why is it when they see ACTUAL real life people who are naturally beautiful without alll the fake surgical crap, they make rude comments, they assume that she's a slut or he's a gigilo, they start rumors about them, consider them to be conceited before they ever get to know them as a person? It's an observation that I just don't get. If people (not all people obviously) spend all this money on clothes and fake surgical procedures to be what they think is beautiful, then why do they seem so resentful toward people who they are trying to look so much like?

I mean, seriously. I've seen a lot of answers on my questions, and they say that I'll change my mind in the future, which is highly a doupt. I don't want kids! I been thinking that way for 4 years.
People say they don't want kids ever, and people just change their words and say that they will someday, like jeez. That's very annoying!
Why do people assume that? It's none of their business! If people say they don't ever want kids, then they don't want kids! It's the childfree person's life, not those who assume that!

I was even suspected of being gay because I had been married for 5 years but had no children. They sent me to see a psychiatrist were I was asked a lot of questions about my sex life.

I made the decision in college that I was NOT "mommie" material, and did not wish to have children... PERIOD. I have kept to that promise, and no amount of cajoling on others' parts has ever swayed me.
Sometimes I joke about not having children, because if I did, I'd be in jail on child abuse charges by now. The usual response to that one is, "Oh, it's DIFFERENT when they're your OWN." This is a total fallacy, it is NOT different when the children are your own. In fact it is WORSE. The majority of people in prison on child abuse charges are NOT STRANGERS but the RELATIVES of the children. So, statistically, it's worse when they're "your own."
As for your last question, many people actually DO change their minds, or more accurately, they have their minds changed FOR them because they were not "careful" enough with birth control methods to prevent the conception.
When people "push" you about the child-free issue, simply tell them, "Sorry, but I don't think I'd be as good a dad as the child deserves." That might change their thinking, that you are not being "selfish" but actually have considered the needs of the child.

Why do people pick on Police just doing their job?
I've worked in policing in Australia (but I'm sure it's similar everywhere) and have always been astounded at the attitude of some members of the public toward good people doing a great (but thankless) job. Put yourself in their shoes.
I've heard them all:
* Abusive people (even when I'm sure they know they've done the wrong thing)
* Threats against police (including making false allegations against the cop)
* Idiots when they are locked up bashing their head against cell doors causing concussion
* People who run from police and insist their innocence when caught (oh yeah... why run then idiot?)
* People who think the police are picking on them (No they're not, they have a job to do and you are picking on them)
* People who call the emergency number with no emergency at all - sometimes to just be abusive.
* People who call the emergency number repeatedly because the police haven't turned up after just 1 minute
* People who think driving offences are not real crimes
Why?
Why do people pick on Police just doing their job?
All I can say is this. I have read some of the answers here and some people talk about cops shooting people 60 + times and all. Don't be so quick to judge until you are in the cops shoes. You go in front of a police simulator, and I bet you will shoot an unarmed person, who you think is going for a weapon. And if you don't shoot and the person has a weapon then your DEAD. You won't see your mother ,father, son, daughter, in short family ever again.
Sure to some the badge of authority goes to their head, as in any job. People who work with other people in an office go through the same thing. Ever work with someone and once they become a supervisor it goes to their head, and they are not the person they used to be. The authority goes to their head. So what the difference here?

Well this guy ended up framing people just to get the money so he could buy drugs. Later on it came out that this same guy (he was 26) was having sex with 13 year old girls.
Anyways the cops knew this, I know they did because I told them. However they went ahead and filed charges against these people anyways. After knowing the this guy framed one of them for sure.
...So anyways after seeing something like that when I was a kid, well I have lost my faith to say the least.
The fact of the matter is that their are some good cops out their, yet there are way too many bad ones. Maybe if the good cops would do their jobs and get the bad ones off of the street this would not be a problem, and we could go back to the times when people had respect for the police.

Reply:Generally because they are either guilty, dumb, full of themselves, antisocial and/or just don't respect the law. We can't expect police to apply the law arbitrarily - but plenty of people do expect special treatment and that's the problem most of the time (in the examples you've given).
There are some dodgy police out there (and some very nasty rascist, bigoted ones too - just as there are in any profession) but most are trying to their best in a thankless and complex job. And if they're not doing it perfectly sometimes we should cut them some slack - they put in 12 hour shifts (often sleepless overtime), have to constantly deal with idiots and are human too.
And they are under constant pressure should they put a foot wrong and end up in court. It's not a job I could handle. If it's your job, I do wish you the best and thank you very much for doing it.
I've heard them all:
* Abusive people (even when I'm sure they know they've done the wrong thing)
* Threats against police (including making false allegations against the cop)
* Idiots when they are locked up bashing their head against cell doors causing concussion
* People who run from police and insist their innocence when caught (oh yeah... why run then idiot?)
* People who think the police are picking on them (No they're not, they have a job to do and you are picking on them)
* People who call the emergency number with no emergency at all - sometimes to just be abusive.
* People who call the emergency number repeatedly because the police haven't turned up after just 1 minute
* People who think driving offences are not real crimes

Reply:There are approx 35 million African Americans. We are not monolithic. Although we tend come from Christian backgrounds...there's a lot of difference among people's personal practices. For some their political choices are very much driven by their religious views, for others, not at all. African Americans have been much more focused on issues like economics, healthcare, jobs...those tend to be priorities set above whether or not to support homophobia on a national scale.

Today's democratic party has now become socialist and today's republican party has now become democratic. I am still a registered democrat but now vote republican usually. Wade because this is the USA and woman should have the right to make that decision. There are too many gray areas to just outlaw abortions outright. People on this site get a little personal, and just go through and give "thumbs-down" to all the answers given by people they don't like. I personally think it's hilarious how ridiculous some people get. I know we're entitled to our own opinions, which is why I can say some people on this site are just complete idiots, lol!

Why do people answer other people's question in a rude manner?
Are people really so bored that they have nothing better to do than make other people feel bad? This sight is for people to be able to ask questions and get honest feed back. Why do people join this sight just to hurt other people? If you're not going to give an honest answer to an honest question then why bother? And if you're not on this sight to ask for legitimate advice then why are you here in the first place? I asked a question earlier, and this has happened to me on more than once occasion, and someone had to make some rude comment and I know it shouldn't bother me but it does. And I've seen other people get rude answers to their questions before too and I feel bad for them. So I guess I'm wondering what the heck someone is even doing joining this sight if they don't actually want REAL help with something or genuinely want to help someone else?

i ask questions on yahoo and all people can do is criticise my spelling when the only reason i do it, is to save time and type quicker! i asked a question about what the american states are and all people were putting were you must know what they are to compare the answers to, well i don't i just thought people would tell the truth and not lie because what is the point of lying just for 10 points??? and because i put i live in england but it would be useful to know the american states, a woman from america put why do you need to know them and if you want to go anywhere go to school to learn how to spell and as i said the only reason i do it, is to type quicker!!! i thought the reason for yahoo answers was to help people with their problems not to critise people about silly things like spelling or questioning people about why they need to know what they're asking! and by what questions they've asked in the past you can tell some people are adults but i'm only a 14 year old kid!!!

Why do so many people hate America?
It's so stupid! Every country has done something in their past that their not proud of. Many people need to realize what happened in the past was our ancestors! As that is the case with all countries. America has made some stupid mistakes but so has other countries. Im so sick of the stereotype that all of America is fat,uneducated, and are a bunch of fools. Let me tell you this because I live in America... Their is alot of smart,beautiful, and nice people. People need to understand that every country has it's bad people and it's good people. I don't hate any country. I know that their is good honest people in every country. Their is beautiful people in every country. Their is good hearted people in every country. I hate that despite being taxed for EVERYTHING under the sun, yet public schools are crowded, underfunded, and in horrible shape, the roads are cracked and full of potholes everywhere, and police, fire and other vital services have had to slash their budgets, because of decreased funding.
I hate that leaving this CESSPOOL excuse of a country is not enough to stop this money-grubbers of America - the only country besides LIBYA to tax its citizens on WORLDWIDE INCOME regardless of residency. I hate that even escaping this HELLHOLE and renouncing citizenship is no guarantee against the GREEDY US government who can still tax former citizens for UP TO TEN YEARS after renunciation if in their arbitrary opinion they think that the renunciation is purely tax-motivated. I hate that America keeps its citizens locked into their country in a virtual financial PRISON!
I HATE America for wasting $40 MILLION dollars of taxpayers hard-earned money to investigate the sex life of a President, while MILLIONS of people are uninsured, and the working poor have to struggle and work 2 or 3 or mor jobs just to make ends meet and yet often have to choose between getting medical care and just putting food on the table.
I HATE America for thinking that they have the right to invade any country that they choose, just because they don't want to live by our standards, when we are not one to talk, and our own society is falling apart.

America has strayed from it's founders' ideas for a great nation, which was based on Christianity. We were great when Christianity was at the head of this country. Because believing in God and following his word does not allow certain behaviors (encouraged by the devil, himself), there are those who have chosen to "change" what is right to fit their wants and desires. Sin catches on easily...so, we are becoming a mess...and it shows to Americans and to other countries. (Of course, jealousy is a common thread too).
We still have a great country, but we are in need of some good, old fashioned values. We need to follow God's rules and get back into shape. It will take some doing, but those that believe need to stand up and say, "This is my America too, and we will follow God/Christianity!"

I agree with you though. People are actually jealous of us because we DO control the world (at least for the time being). And to be honest, we are a little fat and uneducated on average. Americans are very selfish and very greedy in general. I tend to be more of the "we should improve it types" though. Just like how we stereotype British people and their horrible teeth, we get the blunt of some stereotypes too. It's how the world goes.
Right now people like you and me need to pick up our books, hit the gym, start driving a car that's economically efficient, work hard, and start trying to understand cultures that are different than ours. I hate that leaving this CESSPOOL excuse of a country is not enough to stop this money-grubbers of America - the only country besides LIBYA to tax its citizens on WORLDWIDE INCOME regardless of residency. I hate that even escaping this HELLHOLE and renouncing citizenship is no guarantee against the GREEDY US government who can still tax former citizens for UP TO TEN YEARS after renunciation if in their arbitrary opinion they think that the renunciation is purely tax-motivated. I hate that America keeps its citizens locked into their country in a virtual financial PRISON!
I HATE America for wasting $40 MILLION dollars of taxpayers hard-earned money to investigate the sex life of a President, while MILLIONS of people are uninsured, and the working poor have to struggle and work 2 or 3 or mor jobs just to make ends meet and yet often have to choose between getting medical care and just putting food on the table.

Why do people always insist you can't love 2 people at once?
I've seen a number of questions where people have said they think they love 2 people, or something to that effect.
Every time that happens, there are a load of people saying that it's not possible, that they don't love either, or it's just infatuation.
Yet we happily accept that a person can love their husband and child at the same time, or 2 children. Why is it that loving 2 people romantically is not possible?
I'm not looking for people to give me answers citing morality, as that doesn't prove it's not possible, it just goes to right/wrong.
I have at one time loved 2 people romantically, and it was a confusing time. Does anyone else have a similar experience to share?

Up until the point of realizing you want to spend the rest of your life with the person, it's very possible that it can happen. However, when it gets to that point, I think your love for one would take away from your love for the other. With that happening, it could ruin both indefinitely. I know everybody feels it's "taboo" to love two people when it comes to romantic love, but it is definitely something that should be thought about. Also, I think it's important to know that loving someone romantically, (just sex is really all it is) and loving someone romantically and EMOTIONALLY (as a husband and wife does) are two totally different things. The difference being that anyone can romance another because romance is a skill, but emotions are coming from the heart!

I've never seen a Spaniard who looks like the stereotypical Mexican that the American media shows. I pity the people who are so ignorant to think that all Spanish speakers look the same. Even in South America there are many people with only European heritage.
I am also Spanish and I many of my relatives have light eyes, blonde hair and pale skin. I myself always get asked 'how come you can't tan, you're Spanish?' because apparently we are all very dark. Spaniards are indeed white. Only idiots would deny that they are European and Caucasian.
I've never seen a Spaniard who looks like the stereotypical Mexican that the American media shows. I pity the people who are so ignorant to think that all Spanish speakers look the same. Even in South America there are many people with only European heritage.
I am also Spanish and I many of my relatives have light eyes, blonde hair and pale skin. I myself always get asked 'how come you can't tan, you're Spanish?' because apparently we are all very dark. It doesn't help when people say they are 'Spanish' but they actually are Latin American. Or how Antonio Banderas is shown as the typical Spaniard.
